Music and dance really can connect us all, it's as simple as that.

A few years ago Wendy Allen of FCBD® passed around a video with this guy named Matt dancing badly all over the world. I connected with this video on several different levels, first his devil may care attitude as he dances badly out in public all over the world, then the fact that he is traveling all over the world.
Here's his first video:

Since then Matt has worked his way up in popularity, and his silly project has grown and grown.

In fact I saw an article being passed around FB about him this morning and it's worth a read:

Here is his 2012 video, it has definitely become more refined over the years, but the message is the same.

I can't help but get a little teary eyed watching these, music and dance really can connect us all, it's as simple as that.

  1. The bit that made me tear up was the dancers in Syria - I guess they really would be in danger if they didn't have their faces pixellated. For dancing.

  2. I was so happy to see this today, Kristine, both on FB and here. Dance has such potential to be a universal language, and particularly in the unrest that our world is in, we need more of this; what Matt does, and what you do. I'm working on my Honors Project for college, using this very subject and ATS, and all of this couldn't have come at a better time for me. It's really opening my eyes to what could be possible. Keep up what you're doing in your journey, and I'll be following you!
